Victoria Police was formally established on 8th January 1853. William Henry Fancourt Mitchell was appointed as the first Chief Commissioner. At that time he had a total strength of 875 men, serving a Victorian population of 168,000.

Victoria Police is a large organisation employing over 12,800 people, including Police, Public Servants and Protective Security Officers, serving Victoria, with a population in excess of 4.6 million. With 328 police stations and other facilities, Victoria Police provides support to the community 24 hours a day, 365 days of the year.

Operation Drag Safe is a joint initiative of the Sunshine police Community Consultative Committee and Victoria Police to assist in road safety education and the reduction of street racing.
Bluey1 is a 3 ltr. 6 cyl turbo currently making almost 500 engine hp.
Bluey2 is still in the construction stage but will run a large v8.
